Have you launched your new web site, now is the time to add your web site to Google. Most web masters will use the Google submission tool to submit their web site, however this process could possibly take weeks or even months before your web site is indexed by Google. - Create an xml site map for your web site and upload this to the root directory of your server (usually public_html). Hint: There are many free site map generators available online.
- Create a free Google account, add and verify your new web site by uploading the HTML tag specified by Google to the same directory as your index file on your server. Verify your Google account.
- When your Google account is setup, submit your xml site map, an option for this exists in your Google account.
- Submit some Social Bookmarking news on some popular web sites such as Digg (www.digg.com) and Folkd (www.folkd.com). You will need to sign up in both cases and choose a sign in name. Once registered, submit at least 4 news stories about your website. The news stories should describe the services on your web site, in the descriptions use your web site URL i.e. www.zilabee.com.
- You will find that most Social Bookmarking news are indexed in under a few days, Check your web site in 7 days, the chances are it should be indexed by Google.
